The Escondido Union High School District (EUHSD) would like to announce the 2017-18 school year application process for Del Lago Academy, Campus of Applied Science. Del Lago Academy offers families an additional and unique option built around the core concepts of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. The curriculum is delivered with a Biotechnology and Medical Science focus. Enrollment will begin immediately and run through January 18, 2017.
Designed as a small high school, Del Lago Academy will emphasize college and career readiness for all students by preparing them to effectively use their minds, work with others and take action on their ideas. In addition to a specifically selected and trained staff, industry professionals will help guide students to develop work-based skills, while encouraging them to investigate and solve real world challenges. Like all district campuses, Del Lago Academy offers exceptional academic and extra-curricular programs. Approximately 228 ninth grade students will be enrolled for the 2017-18 school year. The attached information outlines the lottery process for student selection should we have more applicants than spaces available. Please pay careful attention to the important deadlines provided.
