DLA Foundation 6 Weeks of Giving

Hello Friends & Family!

Del Lago Academy, the newest addition to the Escondido Union High School District, is a special place! Our mission is to prepare future scholars with the academic skills required for postsecondary and global workforce success, innovators who create solutions to local and global problems, and world citizens who are respectful, responsible, ethical, and compassionate. DLA scholars use interdisciplinary projects to explore real-world problems, and present their findings to peers, DLA staff, and community members. Industry mentors also provide scholars with feedback on their work, throughout their high school career and also during 6-week internships that take place during junior year. Opportunities like these are just a small part of what makes DLA unique.

To ensure that Del Lago’s scholars receive a robust academic, athletic, creative, and socially positive high school experience, we need your help! Please consider making a donation to the Del Lago Academy Foundation, or becoming a Corporate Sponsor.

Our scholars and families are so grateful for your support!!

Late Start Monday - August 26

Our first late start of the year is this Monday, August 26. On late start days, school starts at 11:10 am. Scholars are expected to arrive by 10:45 am for nutrition. Typically there is 1 late start day a month, usually on a Monday. There are 2 late start days in September 2019. Late start days are scheduled so that DLA staff may conduct professional development in support of student learning.

If your scholar rides the school bus, there is a modified schedule for bus pick-up times on late start days. If you were selected in the transportation lottery, you received this bus schedule.

If you have any questions regarding late start days, please call (760) 291-2500.
